will 20x10 +23mm offset front rub on 2017 SS 1LE?
Friends,
I'm a long time autocrosser of other camaros, now getting more serious about my 6th gen SS 1LE. (3rd gen has become the track car). I'm looking to buy a set of 20x10 fronts and 20x11 rears - i know stock 1LE offsets are 20x10 20mm offset. 20x11 43mm offset. But the wheels i've selected (and are very lightweight and strong) are 23 offset up front and 43 rear. So.. will the 23 rub fender? thoughts on the size.. MRR M228.. Thanks! Brian

Howdy, neighbor. Mine is a non-1LE, but I have nearly the same wheel setup with MRR017s and PS4S tires. There is a tiny bit of rubbing on the driver side at full lock, see picture (can't even hear it from the cabin when it happens). If push comes to shove, you can eliminate it by adding 3mm spacers, but I'm not sure you'd want to do that on a 1LE that you track.
Hopefully we'll see 1LE owners who can advise here, given how even small differences in suspension geometry could matter here.

I would expect the only place you may run into issues would be the strut. If you do, a little grinding or 3-5 mm spacer should solve the problem. I run 19x10.5 et 22 in the front with no rubbing, but I don't have Mag ride which takes up a little more space.

No. A 3mm difference should be fine.

I believe mecorn on this forum is running that offset without spacers and even using 305/30/19 Falkens without any rubbing. You might try to PM him. FWIW, if you want to run 3mm or even 5mm spacers for piece of mind and to take advantage of any slight improvements in front grip that would provide, you don't necessarily have to install longer studs. You could use the Vorshlag open lug nuts. Those may give you enough extra reach in the taper that you can get 6 turns of thread engagement without spacers. They also have the bonus of a 19mm hex that will allow a smaller socket to fit inside the smaller lug nut well of your MRR wheels.
