I’ll probably just get a spacer and call it a day
Yes, get some 5mm spacers. This fixed the issue for me when I had my old ZL1 and tried putting on some ZLE take-off's and had a tiny bit of rubbing (even after grinding the struts a little bit).

I swapped out front rotors once and had a rub. The new "Acdelco" rotor's hat was 1.5mm thinner

I just bought some 15 mm hubcentric adapters, but then realized I will have to modify the existing studs because they will stick out too far… i’m not sure if I can modify them enough to work with the aftermarket Apex racing wheels.

I know they will work for the stock 20 x 10 wheels because I’ve already modified them

I’m not sure if 5 mm spacers will be enough based on how much rubber contact patch I’m seeing melted on the strut spring perch

From what you are describing you mean the tire is hitting the spring perch. I can't believe a 305/30R19 is contacting the spring perch and more negative camber would help this not make it worse. Pics?

I ran 305/30R20s up front with barely any rubbing in this area. After one session there was no more rub.

Now I know something has to be wrong, even with the stock wheels and tires that came on my car it’s still rubbing.

The camber is -2.4 and it used to be higher at -2.6 with no problem.

Time to take it into the mechanic for a closer look

Sorry but I can’t attach pictures from my phone, needs a URL link.

But yes without a doubt there is melted rubber on two separate lips of the spring perch (it’s not symetrical)

Yes it’s contacting the underside of the spring perch, the reason why there is two different areas it’s rubbing on is because of the two different wheel and tire sizes I’m using; Stock wheels and tires and then Z1LE wheels and tires

I had no problem with the same set up last year with -2.6 Camber but Ive had nothing but rubbing with -3.3 camber -2.7 camber and -2.4 Camber this year.

Once again it only rubs on the driver side when turning right. It never rubs on the passenger side and never when turning left. When I took a look at the strut tower spring perch, they are not the same on both sides which seems to be why it’s rubbing on one side and not the other.

This all started rubbing after the GM dealership replaced my oil pump in April after it failed. I know the job was a big one and the engine almost has to come out to get to the oil pump but I don’t understand if there’s any relation to what’s going on now

3mm is enough of a spacer. I have the same setup.

Well that sucks now if both tire sets do it.. that is odd. Maybe bring the car back to the dealer for further inspection..

I’ve come to the conclusion that it is not the wheels and tires that are rubbing.

There’s just no way after that much Camber change and wheel and tire size change that I could have the same symptoms and noises. Not even a change in the degree of the noise or vibration
