I doubt it. Throttle response in my 2020 Acadia AT-4 is the worst in any vehicle I've ever had. Bad to the point where fuel mileage criteria must outweigh safety.

Heh, I'd be curious to see if it's worse than that of our family SUV, a 2016 Traverse. I can literally go WOT and that sloth doesn't start moving until after an eternity (and isn't exactly tearing up the blacktop even then )

Maybe if it didn't have an underpowered engine, a poor transmission, and need a diet! (I used to own one... A 2LT AWD... I'm allowed to hate on them...lol)

Yup, ours is that very trim with AWD for those North Jersey winters and drivers (of old). Alas, since I bought it used, the $1500 mpg credit had already been picked up by someone else (sigh).

Thanks, but no, unless my kids are willing to pay for it

Just come get 'em. I have no use for them and it would be great if they actually went to someone that needed them for their intended use.

Ah, you're very kind, thanks a lot for the offer. Let's take this offline into PMs.

thanks for inputs

what I was getting at, i wanted the Camaro to be more like the truck. So it looks like throttle controller is in the future for the car.

I use the "crutch feeding the computer misinformation." In my case, that's the Vitesse Throttle Controller.

I no longer even think about throttle lag. Never even crosses my mind...

To me its not really the lag, yes there is a very small amount, but more the "jerkyness". This car in first gear rolling in a parking lot is almost impossible to drive. I eventually get good at it enough but I can see a lot of other drivers struggling.

The extreme stiffness of the suspension and driveline bushings I know can't help, and it also makes the NVH and quality of the car seem like its a huge POS. Say you are starting from a dead stop and lightly give it gas its ok and normal but then say you have to let off again at about 7 or 8 mph so you are still in first gear. When you go to put your foot back on the gas you have to be extremely careful not to make your passengers slam there heads back, and say you have to let off again before it shifts to second then your thrown forward. All while you have wonderful quality sounding clunks and clangs from the driveshaft and rear differential slop and slack. Then say it happens again but you are on a slight incline so you let off while its still in first gear and you get thrown forward, then you keep coasting down the incline and it does a rolling upshift while coasting and clunks and clangs the next gear and makes the car sound like even more of a POS car. I think rolling upshifts and downshifts are difficult for modern 6/8/9/10 speed clutch-to-clutch automatics (off-going clutch release and on-coming clutch apply have to be timed perfectly in order not to get a instantaneous torque reversal of the drivetrain which sends clunks and clangs through the driveshaft and differential), but it seems like they could have done way better than they did.

I haven't ever really had the opportunity to drive a lot of other cars long enough to get used to them in order to notice the bad NVH qualities, especially in situations like I described above in stop and go traffic, but I bet a Toyota or one of the "superior engineered" import cars wouldn't have near the same harshness.

Now you have to remember that the SS and ZL1 have a lot of stiffer isolation bushings and things on the rear end that I think highly contribute to these problems but of course you have to trade off it you want track performance.

Stop and go traffic and diving this car is a really unpleasant experience.

It's not so much a lag, it's hard to describe. When I test drove 2 SS camaros , one an auto(A10) and the other a M6 manual as I mashed the gas I thought I should of felt more of a sudden rush of power or G force I guess. I own a 1963 Impala with just a 350 SBC with 350 auto and 3.08 diff that seemed to take off harder. THIS IS ALL JUST OPINION OF COURES.
I ended up buying an LT1 , M6 and the solar throttle controller changed that feeling.

Even with a throttle controller the first 1/16 or 1/8 inch of press off idle there is no response. Like their is play in the pedal. It is annoying. Once past the play is fine. Not sure why GM couldn't make it feel like a cable setup other than probably as a gas mileage saver. The TC's help a lot though. If driving a stick its not that bad.
