Lets Talk Car Covers

In preparation for putting the car away in a few months for winter, I've started researching to buy a new cover for my 2021 2SS 1LE.

The car is going to be stored indoors. I'd like a nice snug fitting one with a soft lining inside to hopefully protect the paint. Also, being a 1LE, I'd like to ensure there aren't any fitment issues with the front splitter.

I'd like to get some opinions on what you guys have used & what you liked/disliked about them.

I was looking at a few myself and noticed on at least one of them there was a warning not to use a cover on a car that had been wrapped. Mine won’t be, but isn’t the hood wrapped on 1 LEs? Just something to consider in your search.

I have a budge brand car cover that I bought for my '16 genesis coupe. kept it when I sold the car. I just finished trying to install it on my 'maro but it won't fit right due to the low overhangs in the back and the front lip spoiler(we have the addon zl1 unit). it's a size 3 so a size 4 would be the right size. we bought the cheapest one at $40 and it worked well. soft but not fleece soft on the inside and durable enough to keep the dust off. not something I would ever use outside but for the monies spent it worked well. likely going to buy the larger one for the car.

I bought a used California Car Cover made with Dustop. I get no lint on the convertible top and I have no issues with fitment to the car or risk of any issues. Car is Summit White, and the storage location is often dusty and the dust can inside of the units. Car is always clean when the cover comes off.

Yeah, I sold ember1205 this cover! I'm glad it worked out for you, after the initial concern about using it on a convertible.

I used it to store a 2018 2SS 1LE during winters and it fit perfectly, splitter and all.

https://www.calcarcover.com/

They don't sell the "Dustop" cover any more, but it could be just renamed to "DustForce" now. The description sounds like the Dustop. I chose that cover because it offered dust protection and ding protection. It's a multi-layer cover that's light in weight but thick enough to provide protection. When I took it off in the Spring the car was just as clean as when I covered it in the fall.

This was my third California Car Cover. Used one on a 2005 Mustang, another on a 2015 BMW M235i, and then the third one on the 2018 Camaro. All of them fit perfectly and worked as advertised.

Thanks for the input guys.

The cover I decided on came in yesterday. Fit is excellent, nice soft material. I'm pleased so far. Hopefully it holds up well for years to come.

Does anyone make a cover with a Camaro logo, or even better an 1LE logo?

Don't one own so I can't rate it, but just found this with a Google search:

Although I ordered mine from a different vendor, this is the same cover I just posted. It does in fact have the Camaro logo on the front.

Don't have my Camaro pic handy, but you will get the idea.

Two blankets from Walmart. $9.99 plus $9.99. Done.

Hmmm, not a bad idea at all! I've been contemplating getting an indoor cover for winter storage..but I'm still on the fence. I do enjoy being able to see the car sitting in the garage, but it would be nice to have a little extra insurance from little bumps/scrapes while the car is sitting while I'm tinkering in the garage.
