I’ve since moved to a condo and wear t-shirts.

The Alpha chassis is far superior to the C7 chassis, especially at the limits. The Alpha chassis gives you a lot of confidence and is very stable in the rear. The C7 tends to get a snappy oversteer character at the limit, especially when loaded up.

I had a C7 Z51 M7 with minor mods, I tracked it several times, never overheated or any problems except 1st time I didn't install the front rotor cooling discs and warped the rotors. (very stupid Chevy design) Dealer replaced under warranty so not a big deal. I love and would take the ZL1 A10 over it any day! (bad knees had to do it but the A10 trans is awesome) Rides, brakes and handles much better, and the power - no comparison at all. Only downside to me is seat isn't as comfortable/less adjustments, I'm 6'4" 230lb.

I believe GM resolved the overheating issue later on?

I’ve had multiple C5Z’s, C6Z’s, C7 grand sport, and a C7 Z06 Z07 and now a ZL1 1LE. The ZL1 is my favorite to the point as it seems to fill the most boxes on my personal check list. The C7 grand sport was my second favorite but lacked the power, C6Z was my favorite on track but I haven’t had the 1LE on track just yet.
