2018 Right side only brake light stuck on (dim)
Hello, I went outside tonight and walked past my Camaro and noticed my right side only brake light stuck on but it was very very dim. Not as bright as when the actual brakes are on. This is of course with engine off and doors locked. It also is on when the engine is running (only on the right side)
All the other light portions still work correctly. The brakes light up bright on both sides just the left side goes off as normal but the right stays on dim and stays on dim even with the engine off. Also I have trailer wiring tied into the taillight harness but that has been installed for over a year with out this issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Eric |

Usually that is a symptom of an electrical problem caused by aftermarket devices. I would check the trailer harness. If you have any aftermarket tail lights, LED reverse lights, etc. those could also be the culprits.

Ok, I have the 3 flash mod for my 3rd brake light also but that has been on for 2yrs with no issues that I know of.
All the lights are stock. Have not replaced any bulbs yet. What should I look for in the trailer light harness? Frayed wire or something? Thanks Eric |

Update***
I pulled the fuse that is built into my trailer wire harness and the brake light portion that was staying on went out. Therefore I think the module in the trailer harness has failed. |
