I agree. It takes a pretty nice wheel to beat the factory ZL1 wheels in the looks department IMO on the Camaro.

Sorry, but same.
As to the thread topic I clean mine using eagle1 wheel cleaner with soft paper towels & use the floss method behind the spokes. I’ve tried dowsing them then spraying them off, but it just doesn’t work as well as getting down there & hand cleaning them. |

I dig the above ones, great choice!
IMO while the stock ZL1 wheel is most definitely one of the better looking OEM wheels out there, but you I can always find a better looking aftermarket wheel.......and equally important, a more aggressive offset than stock. On my old Audi S7 I had 3pc ADV.1s on it. Even though they were a $10k set (wheels only) that looked awesome, I hated cleaning them even worse than the ZL1 wheels (and didn't near as much as I should have). I'll also never own a set for a daily driver, bent 2 lips ($400 a pop for outer lip, bare metal) where as I would have had no damage with regular OEM wheels in same size. Live and learn. I'm hoping to come across a used set of SS1LE wheels for a great deal eventually so it'll be worthwhile to get them refinished in some shade of gray or maybe silver

If you don't track the car then change the brake pads to Power stop Z26 carbon ceramics. You will have more then enough braking power for the street and the wheels will stay soooooo much cleaner and easier to clean.

The aftermarket wheels that "Z OH 6" is running look great. There are other good options I've seen out there also. Go find what you like and get em! Otherwise (my opinion) I'd choose the stock wheels. Yeah they are busy, but they are nice. That said, I think the best looking wheel for this car is the stock SS 1LE wheels...which is why I'm running a replica set of them in gun-metal gray (with a gloss clear coat) on my SS. They aren't too difficult to clean either. Not a big fan of black wheels; as someone else in this thread said, the details get lost too easily. A glossy grey is still nice and dark, but those details don't get lost.
As for the brake dust, the Brembos on the SS are just as bad. One drive to work and back and my wheels would be covered in brake dust. I don't track the car, so I switched to the Z26 pads that KingLT1 mentioned above. Stops good, and the dust is pretty much gone now. Much better.

Well, I just spent the last few minutes throwing together an excel sheet with the cheapest way to do a powerstop 4-wheel rotor and pad swap. Just sharing is anyone else is looking to reduce dust and save the stocks for the track.

Amazon not carry the Z26 pads anymore or out of stock? I got mine last week, probably should have shopped around but wanted them here by the weekend. It was right at $130 for all 4 corners
