Procharger
Hey Guys,
I have a 2019 camaro ss1 1le. I just ordered a procharger for it. My question is. Will I be losing a lot of performance by not upgrading the exhaust? TIA |

I dont know what you mean by “a lot of performance.” Will you see the full potential of a pro charger without at least long tube headers and preferably GESI type primary cats? No, you will not. An engine is a big air pump. The more air you push in, the more efficient the exhaust should be to get the exhaust out.

It could make more power with headers than with stock exhaust, yes. But, it should still make decent power with ONLY the supercharger install. The mid-500 rwhp range that base supercharger kits usually advertise on an LT1 is quoted with the stock exhaust system, installing only the supercharger with the needed tuning changes.
