Not only was I on board for an all electric Camaro, I honestly couldn't wait. I was imagining my car, only faster. A sedan...nope. I'm sure it'll be fast but...nope.

Number 3, please tell me you at least see an EV coupe in the future, even if it doesn't have the Camaro name plate.

I’m facing the reality that EVs are the future for many manufactures and GM needs to have an option for those buyers. I don’t agree with them naming it Camaro. Use a Sedan name like impala or move into the future with a totally new name like you’re moving into the future with EV technology. Let the new sedan stand and be judged and win buyers on its own merits rather than the Camaro name.

Something like this? Obviously it’s a bit late to market. That alone makes it a true Tesla

Anyway, the Mustang Mach E, Camaro 4 door, the modern GTO don't really have anything in common with the originals anyway.

The Mustang Mach E doesn't even really look like a Mustang. Same with the Camaro Sedan. You could just slap the Impala or Caprice name on it if you wanted to.

Then you have the modern GTO that looks more like a Pontiac Sunfire and Colbat had babies.

The modern GTO would have sold better if it had actually resembled the heritage of an actual GTO.

engine roar. . that's totally what gm should focus on if they want to sell cars. It's definitely what buyers want. They definitely aren't responding to other attributes of cars. The camaro is just not roaring louder than the mustang or charger or challenger.

the avg age of camaro/pony car buyer is over 50 years old. The people not buying the camaro now are 50+ years old.

If you want to blame what's happening to the camaro on someone, it's 50 year old buyers and GM for making the car the way it is and the current cost of living putting such vehicles outside of the price range for those "younger betas" and everything else being outside of their price range so that they haveto buy boring practical vehicles with more functionality than a 2 door 2 seater coupe can offer.

Well unless it has 700hp.

I might consider it.

The reason also why maybe older people not buying pony cars is because they sit so low to the ground now.

I see this here in Florida a lot. You can find 4 year old Camaros, Mustangs and Corvettes.

problem is guys in their late 60s buy these cars as a toy. Then they have health problems, age and they see that it's a pain to get in and out of them. My neighbor started having back issues or something and got rid of his 6th gen. The dealer I bought my 2ss used 2016 only had 16k miles on it. A old guy owned it and traded it in on a larger SUV that he could get in and out of. During normal times here in my part of Florida you can get good deals on used pony car that are basically like new almost.

Also, I still see younger guys under 40 buying the Mustang GT. Those too can get pricey like the 2ss though, but the base model is a lot more affordable. I also see them buying the used ones a lot.

Seems to be no shortage of people buying the GT.

Also, the Mustang GT is really mod friendly and countless options too. The younger guys love to mod.

TBH when I do see a Camaro SS it's usually is person closer to middle age.

But when you think of it a 1ss really isn't that much more than many Hondas and Toyota SUVs now.

I would normally say Kia, but even some Kias are getting ADMs now and not affordable.

ALL CARS are overpriced now.

I don't expect a 23 year old to be buying a brand new SS. But someone in their 30s, even late 20s working full time and college degree can easily afford a used 1ss in normal times.

When I was in high school from 1998 to 2002 the big Car we all loved was the Camaro Z28, SS, and the TransAm. Mustang GT wasn't as fast at the time. A couple guys at school had 4th gen Camaros. I couldn't figure out in 2002 why they got rid of them when at 18 I loved those cars.

If they feel the need to update the performance coupe version just use the already developed alpha 2 chassis and LT2 engine. It’s really not that hard to update it since the camaro is basically a parts bin car (I mean this in a good way since the parts come from good Chevy’s).

Because people aren’t buying them like the Mustangs and Challengers
