X-Pipe Exhaust Leak?
Hey all,
based on the picture, do I have an exhaust leak? or is it normal for water to leak from the X-Pipe in this exhaust? I had another camaro and that did not happen. I know the mufflers do have a water drip hole but the X-pipe? On that note, is there something that I can do to stop this exhaust system from leaking black stuff all over my garage floor/driveway?

Looks normal to me as my ZL1 does it too. The 2010 I had really was bad about dripping the black water on the driveway. It’s condensation in the exhaust system and the winter months seem to be worse than the summer.

The only weep holes I know of are at the base of the suitcase... so if your trail of soot starts there and has somehow worked its way (uphill?) to the portion of the X-pipe you show in your photos, then yeah it's normal. Otherwise you have a leak.

I don't think the trail is coming from the muffler. My bumper to bumper is going to expire on 10 Sep so i guess i need to get them to inspect it.

So yes the dealer agree that it is leaking. They are ordering a new muffler which includes the x pipe. Part is back ordered.. good think I took it. Now i get a new muffler
On the way back i found a weird noise between 50 to 60 in sixth gear and 5th gear. I will try to post some videos so i can hear if that's normal
