I was thinking about buying a Blackwing but couldn’t get over the looks compared to a 2022 Audi RS7. I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a RS7 and found a basically brand new 19’ ZL1. Traded my Hellcat in on it and couldn’t be happier. Pairs nicely with my C7Z. Don’t plan on getting rid of either. If I get too bored with the ZL1 I will make it a heads/cam 2650 like the corvette.

I'm really liking the C8 zo6 but I would wait at least a year after release to make sure there's no surprises.

I got such a smokin deal on my 17 with most of the mods already done that I'd have to get a fabulous deal on a 19 ZR1, but it would be the only other car that interested me.

If Camaro gets back in the game for Gen 7, you bet I'll be the first inline for the next ZL1/Z28 etc.

What would make you sell your ZL1? Are you making plans for a C8/C8 Z/or CT5-V Blackwing etc?
I looked at getting a Blackwing this year, but opted not to cause i wanted an awd for the 1st time. Hard to believe they offer awd for the model down, but not the top dog. Wound up getting my first foreign car(now that i have been driving more than 40 years) BMW M340i Xdrive. Cool having a low 12sec car that i have been getting 29mpg in.

If the Blackwing deal fails to happen then most likely I'll pick up a Hellcat widebody Challenger

PS: I would sell my 2020 A10 with PDR, NAV, and carbon fiber hood insert with 4,000 miles on it for $69,000 today!
Plus the front end is covered with Xpel and car has new Michelins PS4's on it.
I wouldn’t get the CT4. I finally gave in and traded in my ATS-V for my ZLE. I loved the car. Had it tuned and made almost 600hp. It was fast modded, but so so stock. What finally made me give in was the sound of the exhaust. It sounded like a rice burner. No matter what you do, you just can’t make a V6 sound like a V8. I was going to get a CTS-V but the market is too hot right now. I just can’t justify paying $75k for a car with 36,000 miles.

Good luck to you, you definitely won’t be lacking in the car department. I also have the Camaro for the back seat which is what it is. The new Cadillac is tempting, I’ve driven a few V series cars that haven’t done it for me yet but this one might be the one? I’m holding out for the Z06 and then I’ll probably trade my Corvette in then? But who knows. I’m pretty sure those cars will keep you happy.

How about the new M3 competition (24 psi)?

Hmmm, I find this statement odd: very little performance difference? 472 hp twin turbo V6 vs 668 hp supercharged LT4 V8. If you're basing that statement on the traction limited 0-60 times (claimed 3.4 vs 3.8 sec), then you're likely not seeing the entire picture. Once they are tested we'll probably see a very low 12 sec @ 118-119 mph car vs. a mid 11 sec car @ 125-126 mph. The 60-130 mph time of the CT5 Blackwing will also be at least 2 seconds faster than the CT4 Blackwing as well. We're talking about the difference between a ZL1 or Hellcat compared to an A10 Mustang GT in a straight line. Stock for stock, an A10 GT easily gets walked by a ZL1 or Hellcat.

"Very little" difference to me is 1-2 mph and 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile.

I get that you have to pay to play, though; for some, it may not be worth it.

Couldn't see spending the extra 15k and get far less mpg at the same time. I did look at the Tesla 3p which runs mid 11s and would have been 20 to 25k less than the BMW, but didn't like the wheels, body gaps, and limited color choices.

Word is the M3/4 competition is making low 500s to the wheel on the dyno with potential to get into 600s with the usual bolt-ons/flash etc. Boost that new motor to the moon and see if she blows! At least they fixed the crank hub problem (now one piece). Turbos keep getting better (faster spool) - in terms of efficiency they make superchargers (with all the parasitic loss) look pretty bad

3.0 L vs 6.2 L and not too far behind on the dyno - that's amazing. Long term reliability and compression loss is the question.

If the CTS-V is any indication, the CT5-V Blackwing will likely trap 119-121 mph and run low 12s to high 11s in stock form. The GM performance offerings are always behind the competition when it comes to acceleration, but usually ahead in the handling department.
