Stingray is well known, BUT it's also right by I4 and in easy reach of people from Tampa to Orlando. Hence they can sell a lot of course due to the location of metro Tampa, Lakeland, and Orlando.

At the same time Chevy had jack sh*t for the Camaro. I think the only think I saw was $1000 on left over model year.

Dodge offers some great incentives as well.

Does GM just not want to sell cars?
those are customer incentives. he's wanting GM to throw money at dealers just for ordering certain cars, aka money customers won't hear about. if GM took this approach you could almost certainly kiss any customer facing incentives goodbye othet than the occasional 0% with GM Financial.

they already throw monthly, quarterly and yearly bonuses at dealerships and salesman at a model level and overall sales goal level.

Ford Dealer has Five Mustangs ranging from 32K to 100K (but that is one GT500) the rest are EcoBoosts

The GT500 sticker is 78K they are asking $99,500

Here in Southwest Florida, most of the dealers don't like carrying Camaros, Mustangs. The only dealer that carries a TON of them is Sam Gallaway Ford, the huge Ford dealer in Ft. Myers. They still had some 2020 GTs left over with prices slashed. The two Ford dealers in my county will usually just carry one Ecoboost Mustang, that's it. Maybe rare occasion a loaded GT shows up. Same with the Camaro. The dealers only carry a couple V8 models in stock if you VERY lucky.

The dealers around here love carrying those SUVs, large luxury sedans, as well as vans and trucks. Typically cars old people like buying because they can't get themselves into a Camaro or Mustang.

I just don't understand though why GM offers the sh*tty incentives out of all the automakers.

In 2011 when I bought my 2012 Mustang GT when the 5.0 was new and dealers couldn't keep them in stock or get them easily because they sold like hot cakes, I still got $2500 in rebates.

How about if things just get priced reasonably to start with?

Not too long ago actually. The fifth gen sold well until the 2014 refresh that no one asked for.
Blue is Camaro and red is Mustang.

That looks to me like there's at LEAST a 25% decline in sales from 2010 to 2012... Not sure why you say the sales didn't fall off until 2014.

it also would explain why 6th gen sales are not what they should be.the 6th gen is very much like a 7/8ths scale 2015 in appearance.although i liked the 2015 enough to buy one...still have it.

I think Toyota is so limited on their packages you really don't need to special order. That's how they streamline their production. They do offer a lot of dealer add ons.

Toyota not only determines MSRP, but they also essentially mandate the actual selling price as well (and it's based on the market).

I tried to negotiate a deal on a Highlander about four years ago for my in-laws and the dealership was super snobby about the pricing and wouldn't budge. I thanked them for their time and told them I was heading for the Subaru lot. The salesperson called two days later fully expecting that we were ready to cave and literally had no words when he was told - "Sorry, can't talk as we're heading to sign the papers and delivery of the new Subaru."
Agreed, Toyota makes decent vehicles (boring but decent) but they are not the Toyotas from 30 years ago. They are also extremely late to the game as it relates to BEV. Just not a fan anymore. The Supra is a BMW with an ugly body kit. Their cars have no soul, boring driving dynamic dynamics, crappy infotainment UI, etc. The old Supra, Celica, MR2 were great, now they have crap. And it you head over to the Lexus lot all they really have is the LC500 which is too expensive for what it is.

I wonder what's going to happen with Camaros at places like Carmax, Carvana, Vroom that overpaid to buy your Camaro and then would like list a 2019 2SS for like 47k with 20k miles and now you have the Chevy dealers getting Camaros on the lots and you can buy a NEW 2ss for just a couple grand more?

Do they do big time price slashing to get rid of the cars so they don't sit there for months? I notice vRoom lately has been knocking a bit off their prices in increments by about $500 I've seen on autotrader.

We'll know probably come the fall when more hit the lots and in Sept when 2022 Camaro production starts.

Looks like Estero Bay got another LT1 in or has one on the way by looking at autotrader today.

Why would someone be so stupid to buy from Carmax if they got a SS for not much more brand new?

As figured my local Chevy dealer which I wouldn't buy from them if they offered it for a buck still has no Camaros in.

Even in normal times they carried hardly any Corvettes and Camaros so not shocking.

I think the best deals might be traditional car lots. They jacked up prices too but not nearly as bad as Carvana. If your local Chevy dealer has some SSs used on the lot and suddenly gets some new ones they might be willing to workout a deal to clear it off the lot.

Also, late this year when the 2022s are hitting the lots if the Camaro continues to have terrible sales and dealers can't unload 2021 if they're workout deals on them too.

Last sept a local Chevy dealer had FOUR 1ss Camaros left over 2020 with NPP, A10. Chevy of course had really no incentives but with the dealer rebate the cars were about $37,500. I love my 2016 2ss because it has a lot of features and was only 16,500 miles and cost me 6 grand less. But I still kick myself for not taking my Mustang there to see the trade in estimate. Would been nice having brand new Camaro. Might been able to get them down a bit more if they wanted to unload them.
