Of course people with a 650hp Camaro don't want Chevrolet to build a 750hp (LT5) Camaro.

Why is that? I think everyone would love a 750hp Camaro, but we all know that isn't going to happen anytime soon, if at all.

Like someone else said the crap visibility of Camaro has hurt sales. I drove a 2012 Mustang GT before my current SS and you can't even compared the visibility of the two. The mustang you could see very easily out of. Very.
Strange, had a friend with a GT350 that told me visibility in my ZL1 was just as good if not better than his GT350. I really think people have grossly overexaggerated the visibility in these cars, granted I have a 2021 which has a rearview camera which helps tremendously. All 2019+ should have them so that issue should be resolved.

The C8 Corvette has terrible rearview visibility also without the rearview camera, that's not stopping them from selling at all. Its one of the hottest sellers out there.

Bottom line, its not the visibility. It's lack of marketing.

There is a lot of truth to that, but it's more like death by a thousand tiny cuts... and mostly because GM doesn't care about the Camaro anymore.

Read the thread? Everyone on page 1 and 2 are making excuses as to why GM shouldn't make an LT5 Camaro. Why is that? Nobody wants to admit that they don't want an obsolete toy. Like the Raptor crowd not wanting their 3.5eb to be second fiddle to the super raptor's v8.

Look at dodge. Didn't stop at 707.

Yes, I've read the thread and there's been several other threads posted about GM using the LT5 engine in the ZL1 and everyone was in favor of it. No one is saying they don't want it, there may be a few replies stating that it isn't going to happen for cost reasons. No one with a current ZL1 is concerned about a 750hp variant. The overwhelming majority would be greatly in favor of that idea, this is not a Ford forum so I have no idea what the Ford crowd thinks.

I agree 100%.

There's not a doubt in my mind that there are way more people that would know what a Z28 was vs those that know what a ZL1 is. I think they made a mistake when they made the Z28 an untouchable car for most people and then totally did away with it.

HP sells, plain and simple. Especially with marketing behind it. I would of loved to see an LT5 ZL1, but the Corvette is always holding Chevy back from making the ZL1 all that it could be. An LT5 powered ZL1 would destroy the competition in every performance metric.

At some point you're beating up on the C8 and Chevy doesn't have a lot of stomach for that.

Too, you have to actually build the things; chip shortage.

2012 sales crown went to Mustang: 92,408 vs 90,310.

Has nothing to do with HP or performance...all about living with the car day-to-day. Simply put, the Camaro is a small sports car. It has been for 10 years now. Unusable trunk and rear seat compared to Mustang and especially Dodge (challenger and charger). I was going to get a ZL1, until I tried to fit my family of 4 in it.

I see you went with the four door Charger.

Camaro isn't optioned that way ...but rumor has it the S650 Mustang will....but I doubt that will be a road course car...either
