Vroom buy out offer

Just for the heck of it, I wanted to see what Vroom would offer me for my ZLE. Its a 2019 white ZLE, just under 3K miles. They offered me 66K. Lol. Thats more than I paid for it brand new 1 year and half ago. Since I am looking for a C7 Z06, I am tempted to take it, but I have so many goodies on the car already like Roto Fab, upper and lower pulleys, BMR suspension upgrades, intercooler expansion tank, dual A pillar pod with banks Monster gauges, Brey Krause harness bar, etc. etc. . I am so on the fence..

Yeah the market is crazy now.. i wonder how long it will last.. keep in mind that your C6 Z06 will also cost a lot of more money..

On a side note. What BMR suspension parts do you have?

If you have a line on a decent priced Z06 then go for it. Otherwise you’re paying more for the Z06 any way, so it’ll probably be a wash or you’d end up farther away than if you had bought it back then rathe than your ZLE.

That’s something you have to figure out for yourself.

Has anyone had any luck with selling on Vroom? I've read horrible reviews of people buying on Vroom but haven't read anything about people selling. I have a 19 ZL1 non-1LE with 10.5k miles on it (stock) and they were offering 64K and change. I just don't feel comfortable having them take the car away and then three days later they send a check. But that's the highest offer by far I have gotten from the companies that buy back cars. Any help would be greatly appreciated

This was my position too when I was trying to sell my ZLE.. too much risk of having the car taken away and then maybe they saying that it is not worth what they had offered.. then what?

But to your point,. There is a thread in here with some users saying they sold to Vroom and had no problems other than coordinating with the local pickup driver since it is third party hired by vroom. Sorry I donr have the thread handy. Try Google search.

I replaced the rear chassis braces, driveshaft tunnel brace, rear control arms, rear trailing arms, rear cradle bushing kit.

Did they offer this knowing about all the after market parts you installed? I often wondered if they would change the amount of the payment if they discovered mods that were not previously disclosed. Same for condition.

I recently got a quote from Varoom offering $64k for a 2019 ZL1 with 815 miles, A10 and NAV. No mods but has HRE wheels. Carvana offered me $59.5k, the dealer I bought the car from offered $63k and getmethevin.com offered $64k. After getting jerked around by Varoom I pulled my acceptance from them. Absolutely terrible to deal with and horrible customer service. I then went to accept the GMTV bid but did not when the contract they put in front of me said I was in receipt of the $64k (which I was not) and I was further agreeing they had complete right, title and interest in my car (before I was paid). I likely will put it up for sale on this forum in September for the best offer over $64k.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get jerked around by Vroom? Did they already have your car at this point?

I didnt tell them about the mods, nor did they ask. Other than the pulleys, I was planning on taking the bolt ons off that arent a major ordeal, to try to recoup some of the money I paid for them.

Have you tried Carvana? I looked at Carvana and Vroom offers about a month back and Carvana was higher.
