Well this has certainly been very informative. Lots of great inputs and I've had several PMs from folks and all of it is appreciated. What is clear is there is a wide variation in opinions based on personal experience, which makes sense. Right now I have a perfect running car that's basically stock (other than an axle back exhaust which sounds amazing) so my head is telling me to not touch a thing because honestly I don't need any more power. It's my adventurous side that's telling me to just take a few swings at the bat and see if there's more that I can get out of her. Again, thanks everyone for the inputs, it's been very helpful.

At cruise in's I am all the time being asked, "what have you done with the engine". When I say, "nothing it's stock", I get a surprised look. This is my last new car I am buying, done with modding cars to go faster. Here is a pic, with more to be done.
I too have found the appearance mods to be a lot more satisfying than the performance mods. I get a kick out of watching peoples eyes light up when I open my hood.

This has got to be worth at least 75-100 hp right here ….

If you want the car to feel much more powerful but not be tuned, some suggestions below to the OP. The ECU targets torque to will close the throttle to maintain that target, but there are still ways around that limitation for enhancing performance/feel:

- Soler Throttle Controller makes a HUGE difference in feel, totally reversible and warranty safe. These cars have a throttle map that is equivalent to an SUV from the factory for the first portion of pedal travel, per Soler calculations, hence the initial lag on both A10s and M6's.

- Weapon X Motorsports Billet Lid does add some nice responsiveness down low from airflow gains. Noticeable SOTP gain from my buddy's personal experience. Totally stock tune safe.

- Remove the snow ingestion cover from the OEM intake area in the bumper. The car wont make more power but it will build boost even faster adding more responsiveness to it. Verified on my buddy's car.

- Change to lightweight 19" wheels on 285/30 and 305/30 profile tires. This will reduce overall tire height and amplify torque output in a very noticeable way. Your trans will shift fine still but your speedo will be off. Verified on my buddy's car. APEX ARC-8 19's work wonderfully and are cost effective.

- Stickier tires (R888R) in the rear for max grip to make the power already there more usable. Note, these have low treadwear for sure and are noisy tires comparatively speaking, but they work wonderfully.

The above mods (only one of which is pricey) will make a very nice change in feeling of power and responsiveness with a bone stock tune. You can always run some 100 octane race gas VP100 or similar for up to 30 more hp on stock tune, as shown on Jannetty's dyno, but that is expensive. My buddy ran a 10.91 @ 128.4mph with the above mods in 70 degree temps in Georgia at Atlanta Dragway (now closed), bone stock tune, 93 octane gas, stock exhaust except an axleback, stock intake, stock TB and the R888R's aired down to 24psi. Most of the gain is from the wheel/tire downsizing gearing effect and the grip but the rest didnt hurt. He intended to take it back with a tank of VP100 but the track is closed down now unfortunately so never got to test it. I was there for the runs, there were many in the 11.1X's and 11.0X's and he cracked the 10 on the 2nd to last pass in the evening when it cooled a bit.

It’s definitely the red that creates most of the gains.

Throw in a high flow drop-in filter like the Green for a little extra punch.

There are no power gains from a blower lid. Its purely cosmetic and adds a little more blower whine.

I know I spend money like it’s water on my car sometimes but these blower lids are such a waste of money.
