I’ve been in denial about this, but some of you will wind up seeing it at CamaroFest, so I may as well put it on the table now. So this happened Saturday. Try as I did, I know I can’t get it repaired before the trip to TOTD and CamaroFest.

You’re more than welcome to hang out here and chat with us just be aware this thread is more geared towards the 50th Anniversary Special Edition Camaro.

All 2017 are commemorative of the 50th anniversary of Camaro and as such have a steering wheel emblem designating this. But only those with the H50 RPO Package are considered the 50th Anniversary Special Edition. See the pictures below for a run down of the unique features. The 50th came in 2SS or 2LT with a few things unique to the SS version. But otherwise the same appearance.

Nobody hurt. Nobody in the car when it happened. Since it is on the passenger side, I didn’t even notice it until I got home. I went to Eastern Market, a farmer’s market near downtown Detroit. It’s also in an area well populated by bicyclists. What I believe happened is someone with a bike rack on their vehicle may have taken a bad angle leaving their parking spot and clipped my car with their bike rack.

Did very similar damage to my right rear fender right at the wheel opening where it flares out (sorry, no pictures).
Turns out when I pulled up the driveway past the house on the way to the garage, I got just a tad to close to the aluminum siding on the house.

No apparent metal damage to the fender, just paint that rubbed off the siding and onto the fender.

Just happens that I had PPF applied to the gill's area back when I got the Camaro almost 9 years ago. Seems the PPF too most of the damage.

I simply removed the PPF from both rear gill area's and was able to just rub off any remaining paint.

All better now except for the fact I no longer have the gill area's protected anymore.


Might try a bit of simple polishing compound?

I always park alone.
