Wow. I love my Camaro, but honestly a Z06 can't compare to a Zl1. C7 platform is amazing. Funny, that Chevy Stealership who did the incorrect tire rotation also overprices cars. They have a few used late model C7s on their lot and all grossly overpriced LOLz. I was sitting in traffic one day and saw a guy walk up to the cars looking at the window stickers. Laughed at it, shook his head and walked away and got back into his car. Those C7s have been sitting on their lots for awhile now and not moving with those prices. I almost think they set them out there just to bring people into the stealership and get attention. |

If Camaro did not exist, I would have kept the Fiesta ST I traded for the first Camaro V6. That was a really fun hot hatch to throw around. Camaro is a different league of performance, but sometimes faster does not equal funner.
If I were buying this car today and Camaro wasn't around, I'd probably look at a Mustang or Miata, or something fun with a stick. Challenger is just too big and bulky for what I want in this car. |

BMW M2C or Cayman...well, the M2C didn't even exist, it was just the M2 at the time, the C came out a little while later and fixed all the shortcomings of the M2, which was kind of a letdown when it first came out.

I have had 2 new C7's 2015 and a 2019. Have also had a 2016 6th gen and now have a 2021 LT1. The C7 will make you forget Camaro's and I love the Camaro.

I will go Challenger 392, if i cant find good GM dealer near me. I still do pref Camaro for money though. Idk Dodge is giving out some incentives, that helps but Dodge value is not good normally. Cant image how much it will go down when things slowly coming back to normal.
I must have back seats for kiddos so 2 seaters are out and not interesting Mustang or BMW. Just not a lot to choice for me.

Plus a lot of C7 and C6 on the road already. The Zl1, 1LE is a lot more rare. I rarely see ZL1 down here on the roads. Vettes are everywhere, especially Southwest Florida where the median age is over 50! Once the C8 is back into production and the shortages die down and it's more normal priced I don't know what these dealers are going to do with all these C7 Vettes they overpriced for thousands. Why would you pay C8 MSRP prices for a late model C7 then when you can order a C8? I wonder if dealers paid a premium for them or gave usually lowball offers on trade ins and then jacked their prices up. All I know is the C7 Vettes down here sitting on car lots are NOT moving very much. Even the ZL1 very few that are left are not moving, the used ones that is. A dealer locally to my north has one for just under 53k, 2017 ZL1. I'm also thinking if these gas prices keep shooting up you're going to be seeing these cars sit on the lots. I think the 400z with better MPG type will be eyed more by consumers if it doesn't stop. |
