Just yesterday I placed a deposit and an order for an orange ZL1 a10 with the CF hood insert. I wonder how long until that car starts being built?

Good morning Joe.

Just getting up. I have to take the dog out and have some coffee. Cheryl and the youngest went fishing this morning during our free fishing weekend. Dog sitting for most of the day.

It will depend on allocation available to the dealer…

At this time - (subject to change)
2022 is scheduled to begin 9/20…

When is a VIN assigned in the process below? Second question - after you have a VIN, is there any GM portal to track the status (outside of this helpful thread)?


1000 Order On Hold at Dealership

Got up early, played with the dog, rotortilled the garden, and set up sprinklers for watering. The dog absolutely loves the sprinklers.

Question 2: No. However, you can request updates via the chat feature in the Chevrolet website. These are one-time requests, you cannot "subscribe" to the order status and receive updates automatically. (Before you'd ask, I don't know why this isn't offered in year 2021 either...)

Re: asking for updates via the chat feature at Chevy -- do you just need an order number from your dealer to get them to reply with updates?
