Finally dyno numbers
Finally got my car on the dyno.
Car feels completely different in all the best ways. I spent months I stalling everything and heat wrapping everything nice and neat. Pray ported MSD LT5 TB Rotofab dry DSX FF TSP 1 7/8” coated headers with HF cats to MBRP race back Taylor wires and NGK LTR6IX-11 plugs Did 463whp 445tq on 91 and 480hp 463tq on E48. I fuged up and didn’t run the tank low enough before to get enough E85 mixed in. Curious what y’all think numbers would be on a full tank of E85 pump?

I'm no expert nor even close but that seemed like a HUGE jump on E even if you was on 85%.
Nice numbers though.

Thanks man. It’s been a journey. I’ve had most of these parts plus a slew of BMR stuff laying around for about a year. Just happy to get it all together and running right.

Yea that’s what my tuner said. He thought about 490. I think a lot of it had to do with the MSD. It has a pretty heavy porting job on it. Bought it used from a guy on eBay for pretty cheap. Dude had drilled out for port injection and did a terrible job epoxying the holes back in. I spent my weekends fixing those and cleaning up the ports with my Dremel.

Honestly there isn't a lot of gain in power once you get over E40. The exhaust smells better when you get to E60 or higher. I see NA applications pick up like 5-6whp from E40 to E85. Most NA LT cars see a 20-25whp gain on full pump E tops if the 93 tune is on point.

You don't have to change anything in the tune for the increased E content. Specific tables in the ECU should already be populated up to 85% E. The next time you fuel up with E the content will increase and the tune will adjust and you should see the gains.

But he is a very popular tuner here in the north Bay Area. Ye at the time the MBRP was my first mod and I didn’t want to spend 2k on exhaust as I had just gotten a divorce and the Camaro was the only thing that survived the asset split lol. Sounded amazing with the stock headers and cats. Sounds incredible now with the headers but I know I need to be able to keep it quieter if I’m cruising around town or early in the morning.

I see you are in the same commie jungle of half wits called The Bay Area as I friend. Just FYI there are a few select gas stations around that have 100octane. A few gallons mixed with 91 does wonders.

I think that jump is pretty close to what most see. Mine made about 25 more rwhp with the additional of E85 (E70). I do love the smell compared to 93 octane.
