question: tire pressure (cold)

Hi Guys,

The inside door sticker states 32psi cold for the front and rear tires and the track prep supplement (2018) mentions 26 psi cold and 32-35 warm.

Can you confirm which is correct for street and/or track?

Thanks,
Steve

My MPS4S these days are ~30 cold and 32 hot. Obviously if the car sits overnight at 40F the pressure will be lower.

I would go with the pressure on the door sticker for the street and the pressure in the supplement for the track.

I've been getting pretty even (atleast as much as you could), with 30 psi cold. if I see it dip down to 29 cold, I'll add a little.

It usually puts me around 32-33 at the end of a trip, or 33-34 if its a hot summer day and I drive to see my family.

but I'm non-1le, so that may make a tad of a difference.

So if I drive to the track (1 hr away), then when i get there I'll take the tires back from 32psi down to 26psi right?

You will be more less hot already from driving so you will have to play with it. I wouldn't drop it down to 26 when you get there maybe around 28 - 30 and monitor your tire gauge when on the track. Also take a good tire gauge to verify your TPMS are not off a couple PSI.
