no e-diff. there's no chance this thing competes with 1LE despite being 10-15k more for similar options.

Steering and chassis feel probably still garbage on s550 and you're not gonna be lapping for long in a 4k lb car without 2 piece rotors.

But 99% of these will never see the track. They'll just get rear window louvers and a ton of wax and get their own car instagram pages with tacky names

I have driven a friend's GT PP1 and my own SS 1LE back to back on the same mountain road route and this is exactly what I thought. The chassis of the Mustang is just not as confidence-inspiring as Camaro's. The chassis feels like it has much more flex to it while Camaro's chassis feels extremely firm.

Granted, though, GT PP1 is closer to standard SS in terms of performance.

But yeah most of Mach 1s will be show cars or garage queens.

Agree. Ive driven a GT350 for a day on beautiful twisty and mountainous Arizona roads for a day and its chassis was nowhere as sophisticated as my 1LE. Most of the time I was not exactly sure what the rear was doing balance wise, which was not confidence inspiring - to say the least. A nice car, but with an extremely inflated price. I'd much rather spring for a ZL1. Cheers!

I had a 2015 Mustang GT PP1 and later a 2017 Camaro SS, both 6 speed manuals. I would not even come close to choosing the Mustang after having both on the same track. The chassis feel, steering feel, and low end torque and midrange power of the Camaro absolutely blew the Mustang away. The only thing the Mustang had on my Camaro was the Brembo 6 piston brakes.

I’m sure many of you have seen this one, but figured I’d post just in case. It’s a great one.

Yep these guys are very good and there is little BS if any in their analysis.

Straightpipes was gushing over the transmission...the same transmission that's been in the Camaro since 2016.

Straight Pipes... visor test, kevskipops and rewinding satellite radio... not much substance anymore I swapped them out for Throttle House and never looked back.

Why do you say that? I thought that test was pretty accurate.
Cheers!

It's cool they finally made a GT350 without all of the GT350's problems.

The Mustang isn't a terrible car. Camaro is far better.

Now granted the Mustang is very mod friendly. You can mod the Mustang to perform better and faster than the Camaro easily.

Right out of the box the Camaro is superior to the Mustang GT.

But if you want to buy a used base model GT, and thrown on a super charger then you're faster than an SS. You can get used base models for a decent price.

No reason one couldn't do the exact same thing with a Camaro LT1 and then beat GTs all day long. The price difference between a typical used base GT and a comparable used LT1 isn't significant. These apples to oranges comparisons make little sense IMO.
