Potential Movement Progress?

So I just checked my JCT portal and I got an update that 2 days ago my car was transported from Lansing Delta to Lansing Grand River Assembly (as seen the screenshot). Mind you my car was at 4B00 status for over 2 months. Could this mean they are transporting cars to get the chips in them and then shipped?

Looks like it, although I thought they weren't doing anything at the plant until June 28th?

That’s what I thought as well. Maybe the down time is to get as many sitting cars out of their hands?

Correct, but you never know what's really going on. For all we know maybe they did get some semi conductors in. They were making Corvettes but had to stop for a few days due to not getting parts in (not semi conductors) Maybe the freed something up, I dunno.

Smile

After doing a few more hours of research it looks like some cars that have been sitting for a while have recently been moved to rail yards. While I couldn't find many, I saw at least 35-50 already at a rail-yard whether it was the one in Lansing,MI or in New Boston,MI. It does seem that cars are slowly moving back to the plant for the cars to be finished. In my case specifically, I did some local research on Camaro's that were being transported to dealerships near me and it looks like only 9-10 including mine are either already at the New Boston rail-yard or back at the plant being prepared to go to the rail-yard. Also, the estimated time from the plant to the rail-yard is about 3 weeks. Hopefully GM is finally making moves to get the already sold cars out of their hands and finally move on to 2022. But other than that, sounds like great news for those who have been waiting on their car.
