Loud Popping noise
I currently have a 2021 ZLE with the A10. Just 2 weeks ago I experienced what I thought was the infamous break issue in the front end. I took both front tires off cleaned and put a thin layer of grease on the mounting surfaces of the wheels and hubs. It seemed fine for a few days until I actually had a chance to drive the car for about 20 miles and the sound showed back up. It actually sounds like a spring or something binding up in the front when I turn left or right and at all speeds. Comparable to a spring seating or unseating itself. I have also looks at both shocks and all the steering/sway bar end links and have found nothing loose. Any ideas would be great. Side note: The car only has 1400 miles on it. The noise is loud enough when my wife drove it she said it scared the crap out of her the first time it did it.

Wheel-hub deposits are a clicking while low-speed turning.
The clunk while turning over bumps is sway bar end links. Really loud bangs can be strut top bolts. |

Did you take it to the dealer? It should be under warranty.

I'd definitely have the dealer look at it. It kinda sounds like maybe the top strut perch is binding and releasing.

Thanks all. I have checked all the typical things on it. This is my 2nd ZLE and 3rd ZL1 overall and have never heard this one. AZ_1LE might be on to it. It certainly sounds like something to do with that and only does it once it warm so that would make sense. I live in one of the worst places for dealerships and wanted to exhaust all avenues before I make a 3 hour drive to get the car somewhere that is halfway reputable.
Maybe I'll try dropping the DSSV shock out and see if I see anything. It is odd that it happens at any speed once it's warm and you can get it to do turning left or right with little steering input or as much as you want. |

I've heard that "spring/sprong" sound especially after jacking the car and going over the first uneven bit of my driveway. I feel like it is 100% normal and everything is tip top after I checked it over. Dealership is going to be "lost in space".

Sorry to revive this but did you ever figure this out? Mine does this when COLD and the first turn of the wheel always makes a binding thud sound. Hopefully something that can be easily replaced?
