lived in WI(green bay) for 4 years and didn't ride much there due to weather BUT talk about some nice people on the road. one reason roundabouts are so big there and are a trainwreck here. too many me me me here...... that's the only thing I think about every time I gear up to go to work.
They are pushing roundabouts up here.

I rode every day pre-pandemic. I started working from home so the bike began to sit a lot more. I just got the Camaro in March and the obsession is very strong. I'll get more ride time in for sure when the weather gets warmer, but right now I'm looking for reasons to take the car. I never thought a car would be my first choice for a nice day.

Agreed... I have always had a bike, and only sometimes have had a muscle car. The bike was always my go to. As I've aged that seems to have changed.

I rode sport bikes for 10yrs and also had a cruiser for chill riding days. 150K miles and no accidents. Sold both of my bikes. I had my fun and enjoyed it.

I don't miss it much anymore. I got tired of suiting up/suiting down to go anywhere. The SS is not a sportbike but it's more comfortable and faster than most cruisers and nice to be able to hop in wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

Yep, that is exactly what I've been thinking and same with the wife. If the wife says she's done riding on the bike then that would be the tipping point for me for sure.

30 years experience on bikes, sold off the MV Agusta Brutale a couple years ago. Get the itch now and then, but honestly its the hassle of putting on a jacket, helmet, boots, tossing the work laptop and a backpack etc.. Then repeating the process at work or wherever i'm going. MUCH MUCH easier to drive a fast car, hop in, hop out!

I do miss it. Been eyeballing an MT09 or something....

Don't know if it's just the car, or maybe my age and the risks of riding... etc. Any of you guys know what I'm talking about?

I've actually been giving some thought to selling the bike and just hanging up riding.

Same here..I don't ride anywhere as much as I used to since getting my SS. I started off riding mini bikes during that craze in the early 70s. Bought a Honda Chopper as a project bike later but never put plates on it. Bought a 86' Harley in 2002. It was a 16 year old bike with 25k miles on it. I put another 25k miles on it in 3 years. Then bought a 2004 Harley, still have it with almost 50k miles on it. I used to ride it all weekend but slacked off when I got my car, plus the traffic in my area has gotten ridiculous since becoming an illegal alien sanctuary state. Seems like its doubled in the last 5 years.

I have ridden a bike for 55 years (yea, I'm old) and just two years ago hung it up. I find myself enjoying the ZL1 more and more. Have ridden over 400k mi in my lifetime, owned so many bikes I can't count and also raced professional MX. Too many people distracted with their damn phones, don't want to end up a statistic or crippled at this age.

I rode for around thirty years. Friend of mine was in a bad accident on his goldwing. He was really messed up. That pushed the reality of what could happen into my mindset, and I just stopped riding, sold the bike. And that was before the current insanity of distracted drivers and cell phones.

Ya, and I'm one that rides without all the gear and helmet. I mentioned earlier that I've pressed my luck for a long time and only had one accident that resulted in a lot of road rash. If I don't ride much this year, next year I think will be "that year" for me when I hang it up. I just bought a new to me '18 CVO Street Glide this year too. I really didn't think that through..

I'm moving back to a motorcycle. It's a much cheaper toy to have sit in the garage all winter.

That one closest in the you pic looks like a fun bike. I tried to find that on Aprilia's website. Couldn't find it.
