In the end, I decided there was no way I was handing the keys to my car over to someone to load and unload, and then potentially have countless people walking past my car (the drivers of all of the other cars passing by after being loaded / before being unloaded).

Add to that the cost of the auto transport combined with the cost of a sleeper car and everything else, and it just makes way more sense to drive it.

There are YT videos of loading / unloading that you can watch... Folks grabbed footage off of their dash cams and posted. The biggest concerns I had centered around the people walking past the car after loading / before unloading and the tight quarters for opening the doors.

It's also worth noting that the cars are "parked" in the transport cars, not "secured."

So spoke to the wife we agreed and are driving it down to FL. Can't wait for July to come.

Hope you have very good wet weather tires. June to November is Hurricane season and almost daily afternoon storms.

Adding to that... DO NOT DRIVE IN FLORIDA SUMMER DOWNPOURS on the stock tires over 45mph.

But put on a set of Michelin PS4S's and you'll be fine at highway speeds.

I have Michelin PS4S's on it right now. Sold the stock GY3R when I got the car.

Love it down the area my parents use to have a beach house in Sarasota being going down there for years. I do have PS4S on it.
