New wheels, liftpads and jack?

I've ordered some Forgestars with 285/305 setup for the 2021 LT1. I'm new to the camaro world last October, and i'm reading all these "lift pads" and "jack location" threads, and it's scaring the crap out of me! I've never had an issue swapping wheels on any car, ever!

What is the cheap route on a jack and pads to accomplish the wheel install without too much drama?

thanks for any help, I know there are many threads on this, just none that say, I bought a jack at napa, and these lift pads, and all was well with the world!

I bought a flat top low profile Jack from harbor freight and zl1 add ons jack pads and ESCO flat top Jack's.

I jack the rear up using cross brace between the gas tank and pumpkin. Place the two Jack's under rear jack pads.

Lifting the front, I haven't exactly figured that out yet. Would be super easy if they're was a front jacking position in the center but I don't trust any of the aluminum there. For the time being I just use the jack on one of the front jack pads and put a jack on the pinch weld and do work on one wheel at a time.

Ok cool, I just bought a 3 ton low profile jack from Harbor. So now I need to locate the jack pads? Where are those things at and how do they install?

ZL1 addons seems to be sold out.

The Amazon ones are pretty comparable. I'm thinking about buying the magnetic jack Puck so I can use it on the extra pinch weld opening and actually use the jack pads for my flat top jack stands

God damn i'm so confused. I need pucks to clear the plastics also? What are the magnetic ones you are referring to?

thanks so much guys. This is actually very crazy from chevy.

maybe it's the beer talking, but WTF were these guys thinking at Chevy, you can't just pull a scissors jack out of any car trunk and swap wheels on this car? seriously, foolish.

Just be glad it isn't a Tesla. Those have exactly four lift points, and you can total one by lifting it wrong.

The Amazon adapters they're talking about are like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Fudoray-Anodi...dp/B083TJ5PFY/

The magnetic one they're talking about is probably this:
https://zl1addons.com/collections/ca...ch-weld-magpad

Amazon versions also exist.
https://www.amazon.com/Byenins-Slott.../dp/B073SPYDFT

I think I'd prefer the magnetic version, so you're not permanently attaching something to the underside of the car with set screws.

The video is exactly how I do it too. I'm actually thinking about buying another set of jack pads from amazon, then I won't need the magnetic jack puck at all.

The 2nd and 3rd links are the same.

I don't use those rubber pucks.

Here's the magnetic jack pad. https://www.amazon.com/Potauto-Unive...e%2C203&sr=1-5

Here's the lift pads: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...A3OF82XRVO3DTV

regarding the magnetic jack pad....i had to mount mine to a piece of wood so the jack would clear my side skirts. look at this and you'll see what i mean:

I've updated my duplicates. thanks!

Are you guys leaving the magnetic pads on the car at all times?

It would appear I've only ordered quantity ONE for $40? Is that a solo or did I order a set?
