be patient.
save up and pay cash. i learnt from a young age to never ever loan money for any luxery item. only 2 things i'de ever loan money for nowadays is i didn't have the cash and my house needed a new roof or heating system. me and the wife owe nobody a dime. house was paid off 4 years ago.all cars and bikes paid outright in cash |

When money is expensive yes I agree, when it is dirt cheap as it has been in the long run you are better off keeping 10,20, 100k in your pocket rather than paying it up front if your interest cost are less than u can earn in almost any relatively safe investment. Same thing just a different twist, but if you always live in your means you have this option to make more of your money work for you. The key to either one is the "living withing your means part", too many have no clue of that phrase. |

Gotta live the American dream! Buy a bunch of sh*t you can't afford and live in debt for the rest of your life. Then blame everyone else and want the government to give you everything for free because it's YOUR RIGHT and you deserve it for free.

That's why when I started looking, I ended up buying an SS 1LE. For me it wasn't worth nearly double the cost for the ZLE.. and I could buy the SS cash but not the ZLE. Sure I'd like the extra HP, but if I really wanted, with a few mods, i could get close to that with a lot less than the $30k difference. I'm perfectly happy with my payment-free, bone stock SS1LE. But I know that's not for everyone.

for me my priorities are in this order. my 2 sons are well looked after and both want for nothing. my wife same as above. house is next. it's in perfect condition and needs nothing doing to it. house is paid off. daily driver car is paid off and in perfect condition. only once all the above is in place would i consider buying my self a luxery item like our cars. putting a car at the top of your prority list if you have a family and house is wrong on many levels |

![]() This is EXACTLY what I did... The ONLY way I was going to spend nearly $50k on a car like this is when every single one of my other obligations was fully taken care of... Took until I was 51, but hey, it was worth the wait and when I walk past my car in the garage, I don't sweat about what it cost and how little I actually drive it... I don't owe a penny to anyone...
