None of us bought these cars for efficiency, but I'm curious what the best mileage folks are getting. I'm averaging about 19mpg according to Fuelly.

You are right about that. I get about the same, but it doesn't concern me much. Hell, I am about to take a road trip in the camaro, when my wife and I both have other cars that get 30+ MPG.

Life isn't all about financial decisions and spreadsheets about cost. It's about enjoyment too. And very few people get a camaro because their financial advisor told them it was a great financial decision.

Except it’s not near $6. $4.05 for premium I just paid. Still sucks but not seeing anything near $6 nor is the average.

If you like making stuff up, perhaps it’s time to become a liberal.

I have no idea because I don't really keep track. I will, on occasion, do the calculation of number of gallons put in versus miles driven..but that is rare. For some reason, I've always had a habit of resetting my trip meter (on any of my motors) on fill up (thought I do nothing with the data).

I will say that the LT1 motor, for what is it, is capable of pretty great fuel economy on the highway.

I always tell people (including my wife before we were married) that there are two things that will always be non-negotiable for me: cars & travel. They are not THE most important things, but they are certainly near the top of the list for me. I don't care (to a reasonable degree) about the "unnecessary" expense - these are some of the things I live for. I'm fairly frugal and definitely cheap, so the logic is often conflicting.

While I agree, he’s in FL, not Cali.

I have no idea what the gas mileage is on any of my vehicles. All I know is I still have enough money left over every week to go out to lunch for a $1.50 Costco hotdog and drink
