Rinse repeat.

So if he drove 10,000 miles a year and got 20 mpg on average that is 500 gallons a year. fuel here did not go up anywhere a dollar... and its been retreating... so over 500 bucks a year he sold a Camaro and got what?.. wow
Dont get me wrong.... The regulating energy costs up is pissing me off...but I would prefer to punish them somehow. Not myself.
20mpg per gallon in an LT1? I don’t even drive that aggressively and average 16-17 best. Anyone averaging 20 is babying it or doing mostly hwy. And I calculate by hand not by the computer which lies.

Have to ask the dealer if it even sold yet. I am not in Tampa anyways.

I was driving 50 miles per week total and it got up to over $25 per week. Plus my avg speed the 5 months i had the car was 18mph so that was the main reason to dump it.

And number 2, why is he even here. Migrate over to the bolt forum, if that even exists
I only need to charge once a month so we will see what it is after the first month. I think the avg cost is around 10 a month.

I was getting under 10mpg.

50 mi, $25.
If gas was $4.50/gallon that means you got 9 mpg? Averaging 18mph? Umm, me thinks you is just sliiiiiiiiggghhhhtly exaggerating.
Ok.

Not sure how you save $ getting a Bolt. You lost thousands I’m sure selling that early and not like you switched to a $15k car.

My question was rhetorical.

I don't live there. I was looking at videos about WW2 tank battles in the South Pacific. Then I went to google street maps of the locations of how it looks today and saw these gas stations. Looks like a nice laid back island though for those who don't need a lot of excitement and drama.

No offense but most 6th gen owners aren't hurting financially and worrying about being able to afford gas. Coming here to talk shit about the Camaro gas mileage is like Hitler trying to convince Churchill that the Battle of Britain is in the best interests of London.

"Oh, but that Chevette was a beautiful car. I wish I'd never sold it." - said no one ever, in the history of cars. No one fondly remembers their glory days with an econobox.

Life's too short to drive an appliance all the time.

$3 gas? Fine. $5 gas? Fine. $10 gas? Fine. Maybe I'll cut back on the pleasure miles I drive, a little bit, if it passes $10 a gallon. But give it up? There are other places to cut the budget first to make up that difference.

New Camaros and hearses have one thing in common. No luggage racks. You can't take it with you. You get one go-round on this rock, and then it's over. Spend your money on what you enjoy, because it's no good where we're going next.

Gas prices? That's near the last thing I'm worried about.

Well everyone is different. I personally don’t like getting 16mpg on $4/gallon. But I drive around 6k mi per year. That’s not even $200/mo in gas. And my car is almost paid off. A $16k 35mpg car would result in about $100/mo savings in gas max. Not exactly monumental.

$10 gas? Camaro would go bye bye.

Yeah even at $5 mine would become just a weekend toy instead of a daily. At $10 I'd probably move to an electric at that point.
