Also the car had light water spots from yesterday morning's rain and some pollen dust from sitting in the parking lot.

Thank you z28deuce, very much appreciate it. Yeah it's definitely hard to see, even in that close up picture of yours... I passed by my local Chevy dealership, as they showed online as having a Camaro in that color, but it apparently sold an hour before I got there :(

By the way, I was planning to pass by Capitol Chevrolet to check one they have in stock, as it's the next dealer nearest to me. But check out the pictures they have of the car online... That car is new but so dirty, that's freakin' criminal

I'll probably pass and try to find a different dealer a bit further...

Thanks again,

Geoff

i believe you can get a Colorado in this color as well, so keep an eye out for that.

I hope to give mine a wash tomorrow, and will try to get some pictures.

You can get a Silverado in the same color, too, though on them I think it's called Cherry Red Tintcoat. That's all my dealer had that I could look at before I ordered mine.

I tried a pic again at lunch today since the sun was really shining. Zoom in on it some and I think you should be able to see the flake.

Otherwise see if Snakely can get something tomorrow I guess. His first pictures looked really good. I can probably try again this weekend with time to position it right in the sun and a real camera that has a macro mode.

Thank you z28deuce! Yes I can see it a bit on that picture. It is definitely subtle! I wonder if the new Vivid Orange (for 2022) will have subtle flakes like that as well.

Hadn't seen a picture of Vivid Orange before, definitely looks good (and the Blackwing looks cool, too). Hard to tell for sure, but the metallic effect does kind of remind me of Wild Cherry - almost more of a glow than a sparkle.

Ok so somebody above mentioned that Cherry Red and Wild Cherry are really both the same color (GSK is the code).

With that in mind, I went back to the local dealership and took a look at a Blazer they had in Cherry Red.

It's definitely not a bad color, and it's still towards the top of my list, but it didn't pop as much nor had as much "depth" as I thought it would.

Here's a shot of mine. im not terribly proud of the shot. i should've taken it after i cleaned up the water spots. oops...

Oh, and secondarily, while i really like the black spider stripes from 5-10+ feet away... The fact that they are applied at teh dealership as a stick on, rather than painted, lessens the look up close because the vinyl is kinda thick.

Here's my SS 1LE just picked up this week, indoor and outdoor comparison. FYI very good experience at the Detroit-area dealership, Matick Chevrolet - recommended for local or remote purchases:

Beautiful car. Congratulations! I cannot wait for mine.

P.S. is it an A10 car? If it is, I seriously considered this one before ordering mine.
