I'll second this.... Not only are "true" muscle / performance cars going to become fewer and farther between, but especially those that have a manual transmission. When I was younger, manual transmissions were very common across all vehicle manufacture / platforms. They were much cheaper to buy and provided a considerable boost in fuel economy. Nowadays, most people wouldn't have a clue how to drive one. I don't say that to be insulting. Rather, the transmission companies of the world have found ways to make automatics shift faster, cost less and become much more fuel efficient. In the big picture, it's just easier & cheaper for the automakers to stick with them from a supply chain perspective and use automatics across their line-up. I wouldn't be surprised if the MT offering disappears in the near future. Just my $0.02...

If any of the 3 year/36K warranty remains you might get 57-58. Otherwise I would offer it at 55 and try to get rid of it quick.

Agreed, automatic trans have come a LONG ways in the last 30 years. Nothing beats the fun of driving a manual but even that doesn't seem to outweigh the benefits of driving an auto today, hence the reason a manual doesn't sell that well today.

The new Blackwing will have a M6 standard. And it might be my next car but I'll opt for the 10 speed auto. Cadillac makes some superb cars but they do a terrible job marketing them.

Its not just Cadillac that does a terrible job marketing, its ALL GM vehicles other than their full size trucks. They don't market at all which is why GM has been struggling for the last 10-20 years. The Corvette sells well because of its heritage but that's about it.

I am on the dealer side of things and i can tell you ANY ZL1 right now is hot but we are getting more requests for autos. The ZL1s are literally hotter than C8's. We are getting flooded with calls for them over the past week or two. I'd sit tight a couple more weeks. We heard order books are opening up again next week but there's still a small chance that doesn't happen. Even if it does the values are going up and up.

Bengo ! If I could find a exact hyper blue ZL1 with all 1LE parts added like my white one two years ago I would have snatched it quick. I found 3 hyper blue back then 1 ZL1 and 2 1LE's by The time I made my mind(about 2 days) up and drove to DFW 1 was gone the day before, the next 1LE was at Donhoo or something like that it was the last hyper left over from 2018, I was planning to fly or catch a bus, the car was 55k brand new, it sat for months then when I'm leaving I get a call it's gone, the last 1LE in Greenville tx I looked at 2 years ago had a warranty block so I passed ! And the original owner of my ZL1 called me up last year and told me to name any price and he would pay it. This guy had a hellcat, and now a 100K GTR, but said he wanted the car back, I thought hard for a few minutes, and called my wife, she said you talked about that car for 2 years. Keep it ! She's a keeper ! The wife I mean !

Everything is going electric and/or tiny engine, you probably saw the announcement about the new 3 cylinder turbo Camaro

These are the last days, where the left invents one garbage false dogma after another, ushers in the new world order, and forces everyone to bow to one man (but not me)

Fear of "global climate change" is just another unscientific bogeyman they have invented. Shut up and put on your mask. Obey.

Just sold my M6 ZL1 to a dealer for $54k, 12300 miles with original tires on and just short of the wear indicators. I probably could have gotten more if I wanted to play the game more between dealers but sometimes time is money. Loved the car but see little time to enjoy like I did till this point. It was my 8th Camaro and the best by far. I will probably own another down the road after life settles down some. Will still be hanging around here to bother you all. Peace!

Somehow sad, but pleased that you got a deal you’re happy with.

Hope the next one comes soon

Yeah bittersweet day yesterday. I feel pretty confident I will own another Camaro someday, it maybe a 6th Gen ZL1 or maybe a 69 or maybe both. Right now less is more to me. Possible sale of 1 or 2 properties within the next 6 months to 2 years means no idea where we land, but that makes life even more interesting. It’s all good on my end and know someone will be getting a well cared for ZL1 with window sticker and build sheet protected and left in trunk for next owner. Thanks Buddy!
