MAP Sensor
Hello All,
I've had my Procharger for close to a year now and I've been using the supplied Procharger tune, based on my wideband it appears to be plenty rich so I hooked myself up with HPTuners. So I did a log and it appears that my MAP is getting maxed out at 17.1psi. I'm only running about 7 psi of boost so I thought that the factory MAP would have had enough range. What am I missing? Are the factory MAP sensors 1 or 2 bar? I thought that they were 2bar. If I need a 3 bar, which one do you recommend? Should just get the DSK Baro breakout harness? Thoughts? Thanks Ray |

The stock Map sensor is considered a 1 bar, 17PSIA is really 2.2 psi boost which is Atmospheric pressure plus boost but hitting the max limit of the sensor. They also bypass your Baro sensor which is in the MAF sensor housing. I suggest a 3 bar map sensor, DSX Baro Breakout harness and sensor and a new custom tune.
