Borla ATAK Cat Back install
Anyone know if you have to do cutting on factory exhaust to install this, or does it bolt right up?
Borla Part # 140727

You have to cut behind the secondary cats. From the installation pdf...

i checked that pdf, but the set im looking at has flanged on the front pipes, which tells me if the pipe has flanged ends, you don't actually need to cut anything.. I've got misleading information from everywhere.

might be that it bypasses the secondary cats

It's cut just after the last cat on each side. I ran into a problem installing the Carbon fiber system on to my TSP headers with off road pipes vs hi flow cats. Apparently the off road pipes and the Borla zl1 catback are the exact same tube size so there was no shoving the pipe into one another then clamping. I had the notch the Y pipe and the off road pipe and hammer them in to one another (one would expand the other would contract) I tacked welded any leaks I saw. I don't have a pipe expander which would of been the correct fix.. they are cheap just didn't want to wait.

so this is what I'm guessing is going on, someone used the borla PN# 60606 and combined it with borla #11925 - the 60606 front pipes bypass the secondary cats. Because comparing pictures of what the seller has to that part number, they look identical.

I might mention I ran the stock exhaust at first with the TSP and it was plug and play factory exhaust slipped right into the Headers off road pipes.
My wifes car was the test car for Borla here are the official cuts for Cat back and Axle lol.

Does anyone even still sell the offroad pipes so cutting is not required? I know stainless work and AWE does not sell them anymore.

I have the CSP (stainless works) headers with off-road pipes. Cutting is still required. The secondary cats are connected to the factory mid-pipe so anything that's going to join headers to the factory pipes will have to be cut.
