Boosted Boiz Questionaire

HERES THE LAY DOWN SONS AND DAUGTERS

motor finnaly went kapow time to go forged got a long list for you forum gurus and lt1 disciple's. Bearings and pistons tried to take gme to the moon

1) How much boost have people pushed through the whipple 2.9 before it falls off and loses power?

2) Will running say 850-1000 whp be a problem for the trans? (car isn't getting digged until axles and 15inch conversion for obvious reasons)

3) What are the benefits to a stroke? Is there a better stroke for boost such as 416 instead of 427?

4) Car has lt4 injectors, lt4 hpfp, DSX aux fuel pump, dual m10 methanol nozzles spraying m1 methanol, and im on e-85, will that be enough fuel room for the power?

5) Is a new belt system to prevent slip/failure reccommended ?

thanks in advance guys !!!

You will get a wide range of suggestions.

I would skip any kind of a stroker. Find a stock short block and do some drop in piston and rods. Spend your money on quality valve train stuff including valves.

Trans should take it for a long time, save your money for now. when/if it fails there are some solid upgrades that can be done.

The fueling questions are the most important. I don’t know the exact limits of various set ups. You defiantly want to sort this part out.
