Wide band newbe question
My tuner requested I get a wb sensor located in the position of aft position before I log with hptuners. I'm good logging and loading tune, but never used wb sensor before. Have another email into him, but if I need to buy one, what should I get, and do you temp replace existing stock one for the log or must weld in new bung? Trying to beat the fedx cutoff...
2017 SS 1LE only changes are cai, ported throttle body and new intake. Thx Ti. |

I’d add a bung to your exhaust pre-cat for the wideband O2 sensor.

If you need ideas for gauge mounting:
https://www.aeroforcetech.com/images...single%201.jpg https://www.aeroforcetech.com/products_gauge_pods.html Easy to install and looks decent.

I agree with Josh and it is what I use. However I just want to clarify there are several Wideband's out there but most of them only work with HPt pro which has the WB input on the MPVI device. If you have the HPt standard then the AEM 30-0334 is the best option being it installs inline via the OBD2 port. This allows HPt to read the ECU and the WB at the same time.

Fwiw I have HPt standard with the older MPVI 1 device and the AEM 30-0334 works fine with it.

Did you end up adding a bung to the factory exhaust before the cat? I assume this would require removal of this segment to accomplish.
