Initially I thought there was more road noise with these Continentals, but it was the surface I was on. Once I got on the Interstate, things quieted down and it was about the same as the stock GY run flats. The roads were already dry from last night/this mornings rain, so I wasn't able to determine their grip while wet. I did hit some twistys at speed and there wasn't any grip loss. So after just a few hundred miles, I like them. Confirmation bias? We'll see. |

Installed a ZL1 splitter & Side skirts from EOS - Amazing fit and super easy to install.

Thanks! Love them. Chevy SHOULD have had the skirts be part of the 1LE package from the factory. Just completes the look IMO I will say, the attachment is so well designed, I can literally shake the entire car if I pull on them! They are rock solid for sure. This is one of my favorite threads, so many cool cars and mods in here!!! |

So we’re prepping to install the GM CAI on my car, but one of the bolts for the TB spacer came in snapped...
Can I just buy any bolt of same size to replace from say hardware store or does GM use something special? Edit: Rick Hendrick Chevy parts dept informed me that any old Lowe’s or Taylor’s should be able to assist

There are two catches, though: 1. Obviously, if you go buying different bolts, they won't look the same, so if this is going to bother you, consider replacing all of them. Lowes usually has really nice looking stainless socket head screws. This is probably what I'd use. 2. More generally, you do need to be sure that the bolts you're using are the same or higher grade as the ones you're replacing, particularly for anything structural or safety related. For the purpose of holding a throttle body on a plastic intake manifold, you should be able to use any bolt that fits in the hole, though, and it will work fine. |
