Purchase Advice
I am interested in picking up a 2019 Zl1 with 11500k on it.
After a quick inspection I discovered some underbody damage. Dealer is offering $1k off so around 59k would be purchase price. Short video below along with a few pictures. Appears previous owner or dealer went on a safari over a curb/median. Also not pictured is some minor curb rash on the front passenger wheel on the inside of the wheel. Main damage is scrapes on the rocker panels and the bolts that hold the softer panels on undercarriage on. Would be interested if I should be concerned about frame damage as this car will be on the track 5-6 times per year. |

My advice is to pass this one up and search for another one! $1000.00 is not enough to knock off the price.

What do you think would be an appropriate discount?

There are guys on here that paid that much for a brand new car... I paid 62K for my 2018 ZL1 with 5 miles on it... I would keep looking!

I would also pass. But if you really want it, I would have a frame shop look at it for potential frame twisting and also have a look at the alignment. If the alignment is out of whack, and requires uneven adjustment on one side compared to the other, that would tell me there is more damage than meets the eye.
The discount they are offering is putting the cart before the horse. Assess the damage first. |

That car new was about $68K, depending on the options. It is a used, 2 year old MY with damage!
Asking price IMHO is too much....... If it were me, I would look elsewhere, just because of the damage. It looks minor, but nevertheless, I would walk. |

If this is indicative of how the car was driven/cared for: PASS.

Pass. You can find another one out there for a better price and without underside damage.
I'd like to know how those bolts were bent. Probably from someone lifting it up and not knowing what they were doing. |

I agree. Move on and keep looking.... $59k is too much to spend with unanswered questions and damage.

I agree this car was (likely) treated poorly aside from the underbody damage, and they're trying to rape you for 59K on a damaged 2 year old car. MSRP was probably 65K ish.

^^^ this, you should get more than just $1000 off a curb rider as serious as this, it's not easy to tell how hard the hit was

I wouldn't touch that car even if they took 5k off the price. If they managed to damage the underbody then who knows what else is damaged. It's insulting to offer $1000 off for something like that IMHO. Hard pass

Hard pass.
There are lower mile options for not much more out there. Let some other sucker take that hit. |
