Spark Plug Reading - How do These Look?
Question
Have about 5,000-6,000 miles on these plugs. Have mods that make 700-ish WHP. All the bolt On’s, ported SC, Big Gulp, stock heads/cam, bottom pulley, Tuned. Running about 14 lbs boost max. I run boostane every tank to about +3 pts over 93 pump gas. These look rich? Thanks for looking.

Jimabe...those plugs look terrible. Fueling appears way rich IMHO. JSH has a nice looking plug.

Going to show them to my tuner tomorrow. Let’s see what he says. Just got it out of storage and drove kinda easy but hard to believe this was from 20 or so miles of normal driving. Going to replace them but was wondering if I should go up one heat range.

Idle, midrange, WOT, doesn’t matter, those look like ass. No way a stoich burn... not even close.
I would expect a plug to look like that with bad rings, way rich or way too retarded timing, or all three. Way too cold could do that as well. How many miles? Just one or all 8? I’ll put it like this, I would be digging deep to find out why my plugs look like that. |

It’s only 1 plug. Going to change them all shortly so will see. Car was/is running fine so was a surprise to see this one looking like this. Just pulled it “because”...time to dig as you say...
