I'm an instructor with NASA Northeast. We run races and track days from spring to fall in multiple tracks in the Northeast, including Pocono Raceway, NJMP (near Atlantic City), Watkins Glenn, Lime Rock, etc. It is always one-on-one instruction until you get signed off to drive solo.

Check us out at NASANE.com

Would they allow ZL1 convertibles on the track?

No, not unless they are equipped with a roll cage.

Dominion Raceway's HPDEs are in July and Nov, this year.
Here is the link for the track and registration. They use to use MotorsportReg.com for registration, but this year they changed. POC is Jim Lorimer, who runs both the driver's club and the HPDEs. No you don't have to be a member of the driver's club.

"correction" lol... A roll cage is certainly more ideal.

A roll bar, or some form of a safety structure behind the seats will typically suffice getting through most HPDE tech inspections. This is not the case though if you are planning on doing any wheel to wheel racing.

I worked for Skip Barber for 28 Years ( the old regime). If you want to learn the craft do it. If you think you already know everything, just do DE's.

There is a reason for Good Coaching

Look into the PCA Clubs or BMW Clubs (or both). Between these you should be able to find over 20 well structured and instructured events at Mid Ohio, PittRace, Watkins Glen, IMS, Putnam, Nelson Ledges (and other MW/NE tracks) for a reasonable fee. I've been doing these for nearly 20 years and its a blast.
