Tangier Orange

Who's got an orange Camaro and wants a matching Silverado? I seen one at local dealer.

The orange is fabulous, but is this a wreck from a passenger side small overlap collision test?

Not an orange pickup or car guy but that color shouldn’t have passed approval unless it’s to meet a fleet company specific color. So many other decent Chevy oranges to pick from. Just my opinion worth nothing.

Did they run out of the orange paint for the fenders and bumper cover?

This is a special order paint color. Not a regular production color. On all special paints, the only thing painted that color are the metal parts of the body. All plastic parts come painted black since those come from a different supplier. That's why the fender filler panels are black.

I don't like the look but it's easy to pop those off and have them painted to match.

It's a pretty decent orange. Here's a better pic of the color.

There are some really nice colors available via special order. I ordered my Trail Boss yesterday and came close to pulling the trigger on ordering it in Arrival Blue Metallic. My wife shot the color down though so I went with Black.

Arrival Blue is the color available in the mid 2000s on Silverados. I think it would have looked great on a Trail Boss.

It's just a bad picture. The orange is fine in person.

What's the big deal with this color? For many years, the DOT in my state has purchased 100s of Silverados that look just like this.

I'm sorry to say that I would not buy that truck.
Partial black fender is a deal breaker.
What is Chevrolet thinking?
The last good looking chevy truck was the 1999 model year.

Until they resolve the rear window leaks, I would stay away from the new Silverado period.

Check this out:

This is a 207 page thread about rear window leaks... Yikes!

You have to pay extra for that color?
