Now the dealer may be used to have these parts returned through their parts division 99% of the times ... thus often unfamiliar when approached with such an ask.

In your example, there will be parts where it’s not worth it or if any significant value. But in the instance of having the ability of maintaining an extra set of take offs to swap between seasons, probably makes worth the added hassle for the buyer to pursue.
