It's a said fact that the manual transmission is dying. I made sure to get a 2018 Ram 3500 Cummins with the manual as 2018 was the last year Ram had a manual transmission.

Hang on to those Tara! You might have to use them if the car ever has to go on a rollback wrecker. Hopefully not though!👍

Car looks great Tara.
Those tail lights look like afterburners at night Congratulations What’s that in the background in the one picture. A 1979 Z28? I have a 1980 also and love the car. I did a 5.3LS swap with a turbo. It’s gone through a few engine swaps over the years. Great cars. |

Definitely! They're stowed in the trunk under the mat and secured by those velcro straps in there. Thanks, Tara

Yessir! That is indeed a 1979 Z-28. I bought it new on 23-Oct-1979. It had 1980 Z-28s on each side. I just liked the 79 look a bit better even though the 80 had the air induction hood that allegedly gave it 15 more HP. I think a deciding factor also was that they made the 3.42 rear gear with the TH-350 a 3.23 gear in 1980. They likewise moved the 3.73 in the four speed to 3.42 in 1980. I replaced my original engine in 2016. I contemplated doing the LS swap, but saw how much the conversion would or might cost and decided to stay old school. I bought a purpose built 350 small block with nice compression and an Isky cam and aluminum big valve heads. It runs quite well on premium and a 750 Holley carb. The builder said that it should make about 400 HP. Really beats that original 175HP! I bet your runs really nice with that LS! Take care, Tara
