Here you will notice a difference. My first trip up there in the Camaro, the OE brakes faded like crazy and started to smell strongly after just 2 passes, causing me to lose faith in the car and leave early. Immediately ordered the z26 kit and haven't encountered the problem since. Now I did swap fluid and lines as well, so keep that in mind, but I'd definitely recommend the PS kit over the stock rotors/pads 100% if you do any aggressive driving.

lol z26 kit is for street use less dust = less braking power oem brembo brakes are way better than powerstop z26 pads and make sure you never track on them they will get toasted in 1 session

Yeah, Doc Oc I think you're conflating the effect of a fluid flush against the effect of those brakes. Ceramic brake pads are typically much worse at handling heat (backed up by anecdotal reviews of that kit here on this forum).

My car came with a massive (frankly dangerous) amount of air in the lines and I wouldn't be surprised if yours did too.

Remember - soft pedal = overtemp brake fluid fade, hard pedal with no stopping power = overtemp brake pad fade

I get that, but what does it have to do with the OP's question? He already has the pads...he was asking about the rotors. I have no idea how the pads perform on the track, but it's not really relevant here. I had great success even with the cheap pads so I definitely recommend the rotors.

Just telling you what I experienced. I know ceramic pads don't dissapate heat as well, which is really a testament to the rotors. When these are shot or show their true colors, I'll be go with a better pad but they were basically free so I put them on.

Def not air in the lines....that's pretty noticable all the time, not just under extreme conditions. It was obvious brake fade. Been running these roads for 30 years, the Camaro certainly isn't the first car to have this issue. Regardless the op already has the z26 pads, his question was if they would perform better with drilled/slotted rotors or oe style. Considering I got better results with a worse pad I'd have to say yes, the z26 rotors are a good call.

When people say, "go stock," here are they talking GM rotors or OEM? There are an awful lot of OEM brands out there.
If GM, what is the source for the best price on these?

I apologize, because I've spent far too much time in the ebay world where the term "OEM" is obviously abused!
In the automotive world, there are supposed to be these strict definitions:
Genuine = original part bearing brand logo from auto maker
OEM = original part from auto maker or original supplier, unbranded
Aftermarket - compatible product, not from original supplier

If you look closely a lot of those say "OEM replacement" in the fine print. It's really only oe if it's stamped by GM.
