AliExpress side markers
In case any of you are looking at doing the Ali express side markers because they’re super cheap, I bought two sets and not what I expected. While they look OK they’re not exactly what I want. I wanted an edge to edge laser looking affect, this was not it.

This is crap, pardon my French.
I bought JW Motorsports markers for $90 and they look way better and have lasted so far. Diode Dynamics markers are expensive, but they also look pretty good. And then there is the other angle of how far one's willing to go to support American vendors. I for one will not buy anything from aliexpress, regardless of the price, I'd rather go without those things if I can't afford them.

The cheap ones melt and deform pretty fast. These Ebay ones only lasted a few weeks in the summer heat.

My old Diode Dynamics kit did the same to me twice on the driver side, which is surprising given its price... strange how hardly any company gets such a simple component right.

Thinking about this some more, I think I know why these go out as often as they do. On the back the housing where the plug inserts, it dont seal very well. I am thinking of adding in some kind of grease around the O-ring to assist it in sealing better or seeing if there is a thicker O-ring.
