Official SHADOW GRAY METALLIC 6th Gen Camaro Thread - Page 10

I ordered a 2021 ZL1 in shadow gray (w/ A10, CF hood insert, premium infotainment w/ Nav., and CF shift knob cover) - seeing these pics gets me even more stoked for it to arrive! I'll post some pics after I get it later this winter/early spring.

I was sort of on the fence between shadow gray and satin steel metallic, but after seeing satin steel metallic in person and seeing the pewter undertone in certain lighting/angles (which I don't like at all), I decided to go w/ shadow gray.

This color was not my first choice. I know a guy that has a C8 in this color and the day he drove it to my house, I said I did not want this color. The closest dealer to my house that had 1LE's available was an hour away and this was the only color they had(1-1SS and 1-2SS). The 2SS got there first and was gone just as fast as it got there. The SS 1LE's sold faster than any other Camaro trim they had. If I'm not mistaken, I think both 1LE's were sold 2 days after their arrival. I wanted Satin Steel but I did not want to drive 300+ miles. The salesman called me on 11-9-2020 to let me know the car was there and I drove it home on 11-11-2020. I had been wanting a Camaro SS 1LE so bad for so long I did not care about the color anymore. With all that said, I think it was meant for me to have this color. The more I look at my car in this color the more I feel like it is the best color. Another reason I like this color more and more is because of all the Camaros in my area, I have seen 1 other in this color(it was of the LT variety).

I agree. Looking for over a year. Only liked a few colors ,Then limited availability in Kali, and mostly automatics. Then these arrived at a dealer that had half the 6sd cars in California. And two in this color. I said why not and drove 210 miles to trade mine and get the shadow grey. Glad I did, love the color!

Where in SoCal are you?

I have a Shadow Gray 2020 2SS in SoCal as well (North San Diego County)...

Hey, I love my car and that picture of it (I had it printed on metal 20" x 30" and hangs in my garage), what can I say???
