Question Advise on getting this stain out?

Purchased an SS for a good deal a while back. Thought it wouldn't be a big deal getting the stain out. Tried to go for a leather cleaner/conditioner and won't get out though.

I was advised to use leather cleaner too so it would tighten the leather at least.

Also got a suggestion to re-dye the area.

Anyone has any suggestions or thoughts on the given ideas?

Stretching and stain looks less bad than on the image. Image was taken while I was trying to clean it.

First, do we know what it is? I would be worried about using cleaners but have you tried OxyClean?

Try on an inconspicuous spot to test but that stuff has saved me a lot of stains on a lot of different surfaces. But I have never tried leather.

Thanks for the suggestion. I assume you mean the degreaser or is it the multi-surface? That's safe for the leather?

Not sure what it is really. Looks like it was oil or grease. Haven't tried OxyClean. Will give it a go though on an inconspicuous spot as you said.

Thank you!

I would google auto geek auto products and call them. Use a product designed for leather. You could do more damage.

We all know what it is. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But really, I would try to talk to a professional about cleaning it. Some more aggressive cleaners are also not very good for leather itself, like Magic Eraser(which is an abrasive from what I have heard).

Mr clean magic eraser. Use very lightly (see video)
know it sounds crazy but i've seen it work firsthand.
If all other options have been tried you really don't have much to lose.
If you get too aggressive It may lighten the color but that is much easier to deal with visually than a big old stain.

Lol. Had that on my mind too. GF even beat me to it and said it out loud back then.

Thanks. I'll see if this works in small amounts. I've heard both good and bad about it but just have to be careful I guess.

GM sprays the leather with something like a varnish after it's dyed to add UV and stain resistance so hope fully the stain didn't penetrate that layer and the Magic eraser can lift it.
If by chance the stain is grease or oil i would use some diluted simple green in combination with the Magic eraser.

Good luck!

Years ago I had a Triple White Cutlass Supreme Convertible (1995) Built in good old Doraville Georgia...anyways

Bright white leather seats.......

I thought they looked clean. I took a magic eraser to them and HOLY, the difference was incredible, they turned out so good, I was sold on Magic Erases after that.

Thanks for the warning. I will try your recommendation first and then the rest. If nothing works, I'll try magic eraser very carefully. I am going to consult with nearby detailers too. Just to see what they think as well.
