To the OP...have you driven a M6 ZL1?

Maybe if you did your decision would have been different. IMHO for the money the overall performance, sound, stance and exclusiveness of a ZL1 is worth some sacrifice...just my 2 cents!

BTW I am old and single so the only sacrifice I make to own my ZL1 (and keep it in MINT condition) is the cost of leasing my daily car (2020 4dr Civic).
But it is worth the sacrifice to me.

Yup, drove a '18 ZL1 1LE and loved it.

As I said, I posted this to vent. It's cathartic. Nobody cares that you don't care honestly...why even post that reply?

Perfect solution is to look at the Cadillac CTSV Blackwing.

Well then I was wrong...I guess everyone has to decide what works best for them.

Good luck but you are truly missing out as one test drive doesn't even begin to describe how much fun these cars are to drive and own. And believe me I can say that as I have owned many performance cars over the years including a Challenger Hellcat.

I think you should just go for it. So it's a little inconvenient? Just imagine the look on all the other kids and parents faces when you pull up to the school in a ZL1 to take one of your girls to the daughter-daddy dance. That is if the cowards ever open the schools back up because of this covid hysteria.

Not sure how you ever thought a Camaro was a great family car. It's pretty well known that the back seats in them are pointless. I might be able to get a front-facing child seat or booster seat back there at most, but I don't ever expect anyone to smash their legs to be able to sit back there

My old man made me and my sister fit in one seat in his Corvette to take us to school when we where young, no one gave a shit. He always had performance cars since he made the money and bought what HE wanted. I grew up with multiple F-bodies, Vette's, etc. Clearly we survived and it wasn't a problem.

I’m not going to try and convince you that the ZL1 is a great family car. But my daughter and niece are both about 5’2 and they don’t complain a bit. They love it. I’m sure part of it is my driving that makes it fun. But the four of us will go out in the car for literally 3 hours or more and nobody is getting out sore or whining there was no room.
But I get where you are coming from Joe. Sometimes these cars just don’t have enough for your needs. Good luck with whatever you get. Sucks you couldn’t get a ZL1.

Wait...let me ask this. Is there a difference between the seats in the ZL1 (recaro seats I think) compared to a 1LT SS?? When I test drove the ZL1 1LE, the back seat looked cramped, but not completely useless. We test "fit" in the SS/.
