If your high side is dropping from inadequate fuel supply from the low side its gonna help some if your low side isnt dropping then no it will not. They use a fore type in tank pump apparently they couldn't feed there high side enough fuel so they made a line and check valve to solve this. I swear I saw the line and valve as unit vs a ck valve only when it 1st came out. Watch the lingenfelter continental sema build you will see then drop the tank and reattach the hard line w ck valve for a split second.

Just give it up trying to make e85 work on stock stuff

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the dumb questions but is there something wrong with the OEM fuel check-valve? Does the mechanical HP pump occasionally back-pressure the electric low-pressure pump?
Is this an E85 thing?

Thanks for explaining,
Chris

It's a restriction when your trying to feed the hi pressure pump. The whole line should be replace back to the after market fore pump or aux pump kit.

It can be used on OEM stuff

Some people completely eliminate the check valve with no issue. There’s a thread on CorvetteForum discussing such

If your making any power with the stock lt4 stuff it needs to be 70 psi under load not falling off I got mine up to 76 with a hiflow valve and the DSX low side that combo still didn't feed the LPE big bore pump enough it needs 80 psi continuously under load with no pressure drop what so ever!

what is you low side pressure I bet anything it falls off just before the high side!

here you go

at wot the goes in engine reduce power and regarding the code are:

- 170f thermostat
- weapon x cooler
- catch can might mouse
- expansion tank for the supercharger
- Lingenfelter/ATI LT4 wet sump torsional vibration damper
- Lingenfelter 9.17 diameter overdrive supercharger drive damper pulley
- Pulley fasteners

Ordered one also, I would like to see some install pictures.
The stock check valve is close to the hard line, I belief the factory braided line has to be cut off the hard line in order to get the old valve out. How did you connect a new hose to the factory hard line?
Is there an adapter available, or did you guys just clamp, or crimp the new hose to the hard line?

I had my shop make up a hose to take the factory connection to the drivers side of the Whipple and mounted the LPE check valve there. I didn’t like the idea of having it hidden and not being able to get to it. LPE also offers adapters to allow you to use the check valve with OEM push lock adapters too (I ended up using one).

Good idea, thanks for the pic.
How did they connect the hose to the hardline on the passenger side? I wonder if a 3/8 female quick connector could fit there also.

No problem!

I think they did the quick-connect fitting in the back to connect to the factory line and ran the custom PTFE hose around to another quick-connect at the LPE check.

You should start a new thread on that FYI. This one is just regarding the LPE high flow check valve.

No reason you can’t. The Fore system is a return style system but you’d still want a check valve right before you feed the DI system. That prevents the DI HPFP from running dry at startup.
