Nope, especially when they are not functional.

What do you mean by "years ago"?

Negative...I see too many of those scoops on all the low level non performance cars in this area ... They wouldn't do your car any justice to have those on there..

I'm looking further back than that, maybe as far back as late 1970's Civics. The Type R is mostly today's poster-boy example, but there were a lot of needless scallops and vents in previous years.

I’ve never been a fan of the cars with plastic crap glued all over them (young guys who buy and love their car often fall down this rabbit hole). In the case of a 6th Gen SS1Le It takes a beautiful car and screws up the lines.

I personally feel they detract from the look of that car, not enhance it. And, as mentioned, if they install using double-sided tape, they're likely going to run the wrap on the hood if you decide to remove them and could actually cause that vinyl to pull away from the hood otherwise. You could end up doing long-term damage to the existing look by sticking them on.

If you want something a little different, why not go the route of something graphics-based and subtle? Maybe an accent stripe in a small area somewhere or similar. Things like that can really add to the look if they're done at a very small scale to accent something a little, and they can always be peeled back off (again, don't apply them to the wrapped hood).

With a dark colored car, you could use a medium grayish stripe between the bottom of the body area and side skirts to set them apart from the car - that sort of thing.
