pulled the pick up out of the oil pan

Need some help. I pulled the pickup out of the oil pan to make sure everything was good. Their is somekind of sealant that goes on the tube that inserts into the oil pan opposite end of the pick up screen. Anyone know what that is and where I could get some?

You are taking about the pick up tube that has two bolts holding the screen part at the bottom of the pan and is pressed into the upper front of the oil pan?

Should be pressed in. I pulled mine out to clean it. Press it back into the front and re install the 2 bolts in the bottom.

Exactly but it has some kind of a hard clearish looking sealant on it

I don’t remember seeing that on mine. You could put some grease or lube on it and press it back in the hole.
